How was your Easter weekend? Mine was good except the weather could've been better. It was a little chilly and rained most of the time. But, I still enjoyed time with my family and woke up to a beautiful Monday morning. It is sunny and very nice out today. It's amazing what that can do for my mood!
I wanted to share some changes that I made to my foyer since I last shared it with you. I've been enjoying bringing in some modern textiles to my home lately. I'm liking the mix of modern with European and farmhouse styles. I think it keeps it feeling fresh and interesting.
This is the view that you see when you come into my house.

Well, we made it to Friday! That's always a good thing. Do you have special plans for Easter this weekend? I am going to my husbands cousins house. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and eating some good food!
I wanted to share something that I found at the antique store last weekend. It's a clock!

How is your Monday going so far? It's very cold here today in GA. So much for the first week of Spring feeling good huh? I think we're not alone though. I've been hearing about snow falling in other parts of the country too.
However, last Friday was beautiful! My sister and I went antique shopping together at Lakewood 400. It's not far from my house. I took some pics to share with you some things that caught my eye.
This was the first booth we went to. My sister found something wonderful in here too. She'll be sharing it on her blog soon.

I have a powder room on the first floor that gets a lot of use. All of the other bathrooms are upstairs. However, there's only one problem. It doesn't get any natural light. So, it's often dark. I painted it in a light grey (called Wickham Grey from Benjamin Moore) a few years ago. But, just recently decided to bring a pop of color into the room by adding some yellow flowers and a patterned rug.

How are you doing with the new time change? I will be honest..............I hate it! I hope to one day see it done away with. I heard that there are measures being taken for 13 states to quit using it (my state of GA included). We live in a world of sleep deprivation anyway, so why take away one more hour of it? It was started back in WWI and of course, that's when life was very different from the way it is now. I don't see any benefit to it. In fact, it has been documented that more accidents occur right after this time change and more strokes and heart attacks occur shortly after this time change as well! I find it strange that we physically change our clocks to a man made time. It's not even the REAL time of day! If I wanted to live in another time zone, I would move to a different part of the country! I will continue to follow the progress of the new law that is being proposed to "outlaw" this silly antiquated time change.
Now, I feel better to have gotten that off my chest. Feel free to shed some light on why you think it's a good thing or not.
I wanted to share some new draperies that I got for my kitchen recently. I wanted more of a contrast between the curtains and the walls than my last pair gave me. So, I found these at Target.

Happy Friday. Are you glad it's finally Friday? I'm just happy that it has been such a pretty week here in GA. It's been in the high 70's and sunny all week. I've even started wearing shorts again!
I recently decided to get another rug for the family room. It has been years since I pulled up the seagrass rug that stuck to my floor. Oh what a disaster that was. The latex backing adhered to my floor and almost ruined it. So, after scrubbing and cleaning it for hours, I was a little gun shy of putting another rug down. But, now that I know how to prevent that from happening, I was ready to try again. This time, I made sure to use a high quality rug pad from Rug Pad USA. It is made from rubber and won't ruin my floor over time. I chose a wool tufted rug that is soft on our feet. It came from Overstock.com.

I'm so excited to have you join us this week for another fun party! This week, Julie from Little Farmstead is hosting for the first time. She has selected some great features to share as well. Please give her a warm welcome and link up your latest inspiration!
I'm Julie from Little Farmstead.
This is my first time hosting "Share Your Style" and I'm so happy you're here.
Two years ago, our family moved just past the city limits to our own little piece of country. We have chickens (farm fresh eggs!) and plant a garden each spring. We're grateful that our three sons have room to play and be adventurers. And while they're busy, I enjoy decorating our home in farmhouse style. ;)
I have been inspired by your love of home and the creativity by which you express it. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've been up to this week!

Remember when I brought in some yellow accents in my master bedroom? Well, I carried it into the master bathroom as well. I used to only have grey, black and white in here. But, I'm really enjoying the pop of color that yellow brings to the room! It didn't require much to make it cheerful.
When you first walk into the bathroom, you see the tub under a huge window. It lets in a LOT of light!

I'm so excited to share the finished product with you now that my kitchen is almost complete! It took about 3 long days to get this project done but I'm very happy with it and wish I had done it sooner.
We started out removing the old beige tumbled tile off the wall on Sunday.
